A Minireview is a concise (usually, up to 8000 words; 20–30 journal pages in length) overview of a selected area of investigation. It includes reference to the author´s own research but all relevant work by others must be described as well. Minireviews can be prepared using the Word Template for Articles, the section “II. Results and Discussion” being replaced with the appropriate section(s). They can include photographs and brief biographies (max 150 words) for up to four authors.

Copies of all permissions for the reproduction of graphics as mentioned in the captions, biographies and photographs must be supplied. As for Articles, Minireviews undergo a rigorous and full peer review procedure.
