Open Access Forms

When you submit an article to Chemistry2, you accept to publish in open access, agreeing to a Creative Commons licence. Once the article has been accepted for publication, an open access application form should be completed and sent to our Editorial Office.

One of the two CC licences below should be downloaded, filled and returned back:

Article Processing Charge

The association Science2 supports a new open access model. The APC (€100/article + VAT) supports this model by:

  • contributing to the costs of maintaining the association and the journal
  • reverting back most of the funds collected to Science, providing fellowships and grants to talented young researchers (see www.sci2.org/grants)

Thus, the Chemistry2 APC:

  • makes the article permanently and freely available online
  • is only due if the article is accepted for publication. It should be pointed out that there is no additional charges for colour figures or number of pages
  • is handled by administration staff who are not involved with the peer review process and acceptance/rejection decision
  • enables Science2 to provide grants to excellent young scientists from all over the world.

Important: the countries listed HERE receive a discount.

Important: the Graphical Abstract of an accepted article will immediately be available online (within 24 hours after acceptance) on the Chemistry2 website (www.chem2.org/publications). The full article will only be available online after sending the completed APC form (downloadable below) and having paid the APC.
